ApprovalsH2O PurePlus meeting the Australian Plumbing & Wastewater code's highest effluent quality benchmark. The H2O Pure PlusŪ systems have been approved by Queensland's Department of Infrastructure and Planning to "Advanced Secondary Quality Effluent with Nutrient Reduction". The Approval followed 26 weeks of stringent water quality testing on three separate installations in southeast Queensland. It is the first Greywater System to achieve a maximum hydraulic load of 10,000 litres per day with full Nutrient Reduction. In fact no other Greywater system in Queensland has achieved the Nutrient Reduction benchmark set out in the Queensland Plumbing and Wastewater Code. High-level Nutrient concentration (primarily nitrogen and phosphorus) in waterways poses a major problem to affected water supplies, ecosystems and their supply chain constituents. Not only does this contribute to excessive plant growth and eco-decay, but also further ramifications of this human-borne phenomenon include diminished oxygen and severe reductions in water quality, fish and other animal populations. Nitrogen/Phosphorus come from urine and detergents. The H2O Pure PlusŪ systems will be imperative for the installation of Onsite Sewerage Facilities in declared and very sensitive "Water Catchment Areas", which supply drinking water to consumers. It is likely systems without Nutrient removal will not be permitted in Catchment Areas in the future. H2O Pure PlusŪ systems represent the state of the art wastewater treatment technology with regard to nutrient removal from wastewater discharge. Their application will play a vital role in the removal of Nutrient from entering into natural waterways. H2O Pure PlusŪ system will reduce the environmental catastrophes from occurring and could help reverse the effects of clogged waterways already wreaking havoc on our ecosystems.
The SAPS-AWT system (Black/Greywater treated together) has achieved the full Nutrient Reduction benchmark and has the highest maximum hydraulic loading of 10,000 litres per day. No other system in Queensland with Plumbing & Building Code Chief Executive Approval can treat 3,000 litres per day with full Nutrient Removal. For homeowners, urban planners, local governments the Chief Executive approvals allows reduced set-back distances from watercourses, gullies, dwellings, etc for the Black and Greywater purification systems. The SAPS-GWT system (Greywater) has approval to connect into internal plumbing systems e.g. toilets, washing machine coldwater tap and external hose tap. The water quality achieved also allows for the washing down of paths, car washing, washing the external part of dwelling and importantly will not be subjected to Local Authority water restrictions. H2O Pure Plus Ū systems can be designed for many different application requirements eg: Retro - fit models which allows usage of existing septic tanks. All H2O Pure PlusŪ systems with Nutrient Removal are the only one's to also achieve the 12 monthly service capability. This means very significant long-term cost savings to property owners who are currently being forced to pay exorbitant 3-monthly service fees. The H2O Pure PlusŪ systems use only one submersible pump. Most other systems have two or more pumps as well as blowers and mechanical aeration processes, all of which consume large amounts of electricity. The H2O Pure PlusŪ systems do not require chlorine to disinfect the final effluent. The Chief Executive approval in Queensland is very significant recognition for the water quality delivered and the system's ability to combat drought and to enhance environmental sustainability.
